UV Adhesive for Polycarbonate (PC, Lexan, Makrolon, Makrolife, Makroclear)
Permacol offers several options for bonding polycarbonate (also sold under the brand names Lexan, Makrolon, Makrolife, and Makroclear). For ultra-fast bonding, there are Permacol 3530 and 3540. The 3530 cures dry to the touch and is very suitable for indoor bonding. The 3540 does not cure dry to the touch, but its relatively high Tg makes it very water-resistant and suitable for outdoor use. These adhesives are also very suitable for bonding polycarbonate to glass, metal, or other plastics. If you are looking for a thicker, more paste-like adhesive, Permacol 3535 is suitable. It is suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications. When bonding polycarbonate with UV-curable adhesive, it's important to use a UV LED source with a wavelength of 395 or 405 nm. Lower frequencies are blocked by the polycarbonate.
