A new roof starts with the right bond

Hail damage, a fallen branch or a long-term leak can severely affect a caravan roof. When replacing the roof panel, the adhesive must bond well to the material and offer sufficient working time. This allows the new roof to be positioned accurately and creates a bond that withstands use and weather influences.

Aluminium roofs

Permacol 5138 A/B was developed for aluminium caravan roofs. This two-component adhesive is easy to apply and provides enough time to position the roof panel correctly. The adhesive is suitable for aluminium to aluminium, aluminium to a sandwich panel and aluminium to wood.

A thin adhesive layer keeps the weight limited and contributes to a strong bond. Permacol 5138 A/B is available in sets from 1.2 to 7.5 kg.

GRP roofs

For bonding a GRP roof, we recommend Permacol 5142 A/B. This gap-filling two-component polyurethane adhesive has high initial tack and stays in place well after application. The adhesive contains no solvents and is suitable for bonding a GRP panel to a sandwich panel.

Permacol 5142 A/B is available in sets of 7.05 and 14.1 kg.
