Restore the floor’s rigidity

A floating caravan floor occurs when the top layer comes loose from the substructure. The floor will flex when walking and feel less stable. With the right adhesive, this problem can often be fixed properly without replacing the entire floor.

Depending on the damage and the repair method, we recommend a suitable adhesive. Permacol 5663 is a one-component polyurethane adhesive that foams slightly during curing. This allows the adhesive to bond to both the top and underside of the floor and also contributes to the insulating effect.

For injection repairs, Permacol 2262 A/B is a lightweight two-component epoxy adhesive with a high filling capacity. Thanks to the pre-mixed glass microspheres, the adhesive is easy to apply and creates a strong, durable bond. Tangit M3000 is also a suitable solution. This two-component polyurethane adhesive cures quickly, even on a damp substrate.
