Potting electronics

Potting electronics is a process in which electronic components are encapsulated with a protective layer of casting material, such as epoxy, polyurethane, or silicone. This process is used to protect the electronics against external influences such as moisture, dust, vibrations, and chemicals. In addition, it improves thermal conductivity and prevents short circuits.

The process begins with preparing the enclosure and placing the electronics. Next, the casting material is carefully poured over the components and cured. This results in robust and durable protection, ideal for applications in harsh environments, such as in the automotive, aerospace, and industrial sectors.
